New Features in Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Google finally launched Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the devices Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P on September 29, 2015. Although Marshmallow looks similar to its predecessor Android 5.0 Lollipop in many ways but it has some difference in appearance and features. One of the most exciting features is adoptable microSD card support in the devices which allows formatting the card for a specific device and making unusable elsewhere. This means Marshmallow can store apps and data seamlessly on an external microSD card without explicitly put there by the user. While iOS has the app permission feature for years, now android has caught up with this in 6.0 version. Users can control the access of an app for some critical functionality like internet, microphone, camera etc. access. In this case, some app may not work properly without all permission granted after installation. Again, Finger Print API is a great addition in Marshmallow to support fingerprint scanner for authentication in payment systems. There have been a lot of new fascinating features like Smart Lock, network security, automatic app backup, advanced usability and much more in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
